IBPS clerk exam is getting closer and I am getting many queries through comments and email regarding. After RRB result, exam strategy became very important. Guesswork was a bit successful strategy but it failed badly this year because of close options. I strongly recommend you to avoid guessing answers specially in general awareness and English.
Many people are still confused with actual marks and TWSS and actual marks. Read my post on TWSS for clarity.
Many readers ask about cutoff for reserved categories. I use a thumb rule for this, here it is
OBS - 85% of General Category
SC - 70% of General Category
ST - 65% of General Category
PWD - 55% of General Category
I don't have any other information about reserved category candidates as I am not updated about it.
Changes we felt in RRB and IBPS PO exam :-
- There are five options instead of four
- Questions in Quantitative section are tough now
- Options are very close now so there is no room for guesswork
- English and computer section is easier now.
Expected cutoff and Time allocation
As every human being have their own problem solving capabilities and speed so I can't tell you solve a specific number of questions rather allocating time between various sections is a scientific method. Further solving the easier sections in the beginning build confidence.
