How to find Study Material for IBPS exams

IBPS is one of the most difficult job exam in India. About 2% of the candidates are selecetd out of 3 million candidates. Although very low passing percentage, this exam can be cracked with regular hard-work and practice. While preparing for job exams, candidates are not always regular in their preparations. Foremost tip is to be regular in preparations as practice is the key to speed and accuracy which are most important to crack IBPS exams. Most of the unable to prepare for IBPS exams because of lack of study material. They often follow all in one books which covers whole of the syllabus in just one book, this is impossible to crack IBPS exam while following these kind of books. As a large chunk of exam is based on current affairs, it is foolish to follow an outdated book. Here is the list of recommended study material for the preparation of IBPS exam :-

Ebooks and notes

Many ebooks and pdf tutorials are available for free. They are great source for preparation IBPS exams. Practice is the most important part of IBPS exams, as you have to solve 200 questions in 150 minutes, you need both speed and accuracy. Speed comes with practice and hard-work. Solve at least 50 practice papers during exam preparations. Download Previous IBPS Question Papers. Try to solve every question from each section as many questions are repeated in the exams. Newspapers

Newspapers such as The Hindu and Economic Times are best study material source for banking awareness section. In general awareness section questions are related to current affairs, so reading a outdated book is useless as books are revised once in a year. Besides from newspapers, economic survey of India and Exim policy is also great source of study material. It takes least time to prepare for general awareness and computer section, whereas these sections carries equal marks.

Magazines

Magazines are great source of study material. Competition master and Competition success are some good magazines to follow. These magazines have few latest solved question papers which will help you practice. Further magazines are great source of current affairs. Learn banking terminology by heart.

IBPS Books

Books are important part of exam preparation. There are five sections in IBPS exams namely Computers, General Awareness, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and English. Candidates should read atleast one book for each section. There are endless books in the market, sadly most of them don’t concentrate on fundamentals.
