That is what planning and preparation means!

Hi fellows ,

My preparation start with Strategy Formulation. I pick the previous exam papers and make a list that have questions which usually comes in every exam,

Reach the conclusion that instead of going from one side of RS Aggarwal to other side, it’s better to concentrate on the chapters which play imp roll or have higher weightage in the exam

I came to conclusion that in Quantitative Aptitude, If I work on my calculation speed it will cover the DI part by default, which is enough to crack the exam it comes in 15 marks and cut off as even not that much. So quantitative aptitude sectional cutoff covered by by DI.

Marks allocation in SBI PO

  • Quadratic, linear and probability ----5 marks
  • Calculation based questions ---10
  • Series - 5
  • Time and work, Time and distance, Alligation - 4-5
  • Data sufficiency - 5
  • Data interpretation - 15

Reasoning

  • Syllogism 5 questions are always there
  • Machine input is always there  - 5 marks
  • Sitting arrangement - 5 marks
  • Coding Decoding - 5 marks

English

I spent much time in practicing the comprehension part as u don’t need to cram any grammar rules to crack it ………………..15 marks

Plus jumbled sentences to be arranged in serial numbers ………5 marks

In GK I follow Economic Times ,and mostly concentrate on the news related to banking

As I m from IT background I never prepare for the computer section, but for the people from different fields I want to tell that it is just the basic knowledge of computers don’t afraid of it.

So according to me planning is the key ,concentrate on the chapters which contains more marks rather than spending much time on others from which less questions are asked

And revision is must , I seen my friends not revising the things at regular level, revise everything u studies before exam
Practice the sample papers solved many exam papers and evaluate myself , in start i as only able to score 20 marks but with practice i very soon start getting good marks

540,50,70,90,100 ..you have to fail many such exams at practice level to get to success and finally get crack the sample paper before cracking the real online exam.

On the day of exam in exam hall :most imp thing is to back yourself,if exam is tough that is so for all the candidates s ,just do the questions which u have practiced at home and never compare number of question with last yr cut off...judge the exam paper on its merit only, keep baking yourself that u ill definitely get success..:)

Test Series for SBI PO

As SBI PO is an online exam, I highly recommend you to take an online test series. You can try TestPanda.com, quality of tests is really good.

About my attempts

I have given clerk exam in 2011 and get good marks but at same time I got job in pvt company so I stop giving all the exam

In 2013 I appear for PO clerk and get both of them cleared ..:)

MY SCORE IS IN PO 43 MARKS 75 written and 65 in interviews

About interviews preparation go for mock interviews question asked are basic but u have to get rid of phobia through mock interviews .:)

I GOT PNB IN BOTH EXAMS

All the best
