- INTERPOL appointed Shah Rukh Khan as its Ambassador. The Headquarter of INTERPOL is in France. After the appointment, he became the first Indian to become Ambassador of INTERPOL.
- More than 1.5 Crore accounts opened all over India under the Pradhana Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, a Yojana announced by the Prime Minister on the eve of Independence Day, few days back. This is a big record in the Indian banking industry that 1.5 Crore accounts opened just in One day.

- Recep Tayyip Erdogan became 12th President of Turkey. He is related to Justice and Development Party while Ahmet Davutogul became the Prime Minister of Turkey.
- 7 countries Canada, Denmark, France, United Kingdom, Albania, Croatia and Italy joined United States of America in arming the Kurdish forces against ISIS.
- Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion notified Press Note 8, the note allows 100% FDI in the Indian Railways infrastructure.
- To identify the obsolete laws, Ramanujam Committee established by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The Chairman of the Committee will be R. Ramanujam.
- The Tourism Minister of India Shripad Naik set the criteria to build tourism industry in all over the India, the criteria set by him called as Sustainable Tourism Criteria for India.
- The Hon'ble Supreme Court of India asked DLF Ltd., a real estate developer company to pay the fine amount of Rs.630 Crore, imposed by Competition Commission of India.
