Venue- uco bank zonal office, shimla.
total members-5( 4 male members and 1 female member)
I went for interview at 5:33pm and came out at 5:54pm. entered in the room , greeted everyone "good evening".
M1- tell me something about your parents and family
ans - In short i told about my family members , my father and mother's profession and about my younger sister.
M1- Have you heard about RTI Act, 2005?
ans- I said yes. so M1 asked me to describe this act, its uses and its areas where it is used. i started with abbrevation and then went on to tell each specification of this act and why this act came.
M1- ok, if somebody can use his designation for taking rti from an organisation. suppose i m a general secretary of any organisation can I use my designation?
ans- I said no. rti can be taken by name only with his address. u cant use ur position. M1 said what is the time frame? i said 30 days. then M1 said if you doesnot recieve any reply within 30 days then? I said u can challenge them through Rti activist. he said all right.
M2- tell me something about the BRICS summit?
ans- I gave him the details of brics summit held at fortaleza, brazil including new development bank, its inintial capital etc.
M2- tell me about SAARC summit?
ans- I provided him all the details of recent saarc summit held at kathmandu and 3 agreements that took place.he looked satisfied.
M3(female member)- explain the pradhan mantri jan dhan yojana?
ans- provided all the details. she said good explanation.
M4( sardar ji)- tell me will you be able to take information about third party saving accounts?
ans- I said no sir, banks are not liable to disclose third party saving accounts information other than to the nominee. I provided him with and example of my grandfather's a/c info from sbi. he looked satisfied.
M4 again- if you are working as a PO and your branch manager is indulged in corruption what will you do?
ans- I said , I m an honest person so I will not tolerate any type corruption and secondly I will report to the immediate authority above branch manager, whether it is zonal office or regional office.
M4 again- ok fine, what is the role and responsibilites of PO?
ans- I have read this answer from a website and have cramed it. so gave him the answer.
then M4 said to M5 sir, do you want to ask anything?
M5 said yes.
M5- who is the chairman and vice-chairman of NITI aayog?
ans- sir, cm is mr. narendra modi and vc is mr. arvind panagariya.
M5- full form of BBMB?
ans- sir, bhakhra beas management board( as my father works in hp state electricity board, so he asked this question
in last M4 said welldone to me and I came out of room.
In my interview maximum was current affiars and no direct banking questions. I m a general category candidate. overall it was agood experience.
