IBPS PO IV Expected Final Cutoff

Published on Thursday, February 19, 2015
Many readers asked me to post an analysis on IBPS PO IV final cutoffs. Today I am posting final analysis. Many of you won't find it logical but remember that it is a "Calculated Prediction".

As per my survey candidates with score of 94 or more comprises 33% of the total candidates interviewed.

Process

1) Finding marks of candidates who are top 33% strata
2) As per previous experience finding marks required in interview by candidate with lowest marks in top 33% strata
3) Find final marks

It is assumed from past experiences that average marks in interviews is 65 out of 100.

As weightage for written exam is 80 and interviews is 20.

We will calculate final cutoff as

Final expected cutoff for IBPS PO IV

General - 50.6
OBC - 49.2
SC - 44
ST/PWD - Unpredictable

There is a possibility of 1 mark variation from the above marks.

It's almost impossible to calculate ST cutoff. As it will be anything below 40. Making a wrong calculation will be a bad thing so I am not calculating anything for ST candidates.

Assumtions

  1. Our survey is correct (2000 voters in General category)
  2. Average interview marks is 65 out of 100
  3. Candidtaes to vacancies ratio is 3:1
