IBPS PO Preliminary Exam Experience (10 October 2015)

Published on Monday, October 12, 2015
Hi readers, today I am going to share the IBPS PO Preliminary Exam experience of one of my students with you.

Shared by - Nitesh Sethi

IBPS PO Preliminary is not difficult to crack. All sections whether English, Quantitative Aptitude or Reasoning the questions were easy. With little hard work Preliminary exam can be cracked.

First of All, I attempted that part which I found easy i.e. Reasoning.

Reasoning

  • I attempted 21 questions. Out of 21 attempted questions, I expected 13 - 15 will be correct.
  • I found Blood Relations, Coding - Decoding, Seating Arrangements very easy.
  • Puzzle was of moderate level so I do not attempt it.

Quantitative Aptitude

  • As I do not practice so find quant as a very difficult even my friends told that Data Interpretation was very easy and if you know the basic of Data Interpretation then you easily get marks from this chapter. But I was even don't have the knowledge of basics of D.I.
  • I attempted only 9 questions from Math. I attempted Quadratic equations which I found easy because my friend teach me some easy tricks to solve quadratic equations just before 10 minutes to enter in to exam center.
  • I observe that from other chapters like pipes and cisterns, percentage, probability etc any one can get marks from these chapters because these chapters are based on formula. Marks can be get easily and quickly if you know formulas. I do not practice so I was unable to get marks from Quant.

English

  • English is time consuming for those who does not have little knowledge about English.
  • Once you know about the English rules then you can get maximum marks from this section than Reasoning or Math easily and quickly.
  • Many of my friends correctly solve questions on Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude easily but in English they mark the answers on guess work. So, in English they lose their winning game. I observed that English is turning point which can determine whether you will crack the exam or not.
  • From English section, I attempted 15 questions on guess work which I does not know whether correct or wrong.
  • English is Game Changer section. I appeals to all the students that improve your English if you want to crack not only IBPS PO but any other exams.

Total Attempt

  • I attempted 45 questions from all the three sections. I don't know whether I would be clear the exam or not but this first experience teaches me many lesson of improvements which I expects learn from this experience and don't commit those mistakes which I commits in this exam.
So, this was my first IBPS PO exam experience. In the end, I want to said with emphasize that continuously keep on practicing because "Practice Makes Man Perfect". Most of students take English lightly where he commits big mistake. Take English as main then you can see difference between your previous performances and coming performances in competitive exams. So, continuous work on improvement of English. All the Best Wishes for upcoming exams.
