Directions - Answer the following questions based on the information given below:
Seating Arrangements

Few friends decided to organize a dinner and invited their a few friends. Only the host and hostess were sitting at the opposite ends of a rectangular table, with three persons on each side.
          The prerequisite of the seating arrangement was that each person must be seated such that at least on one side he/she has a person of the opposite sex. 
  • Mayank is opposite to Sangeeta, who is not the hostess. 
  • Ranveer has a woman on his right and is seating opposite of a woman.
  • Meenakshi is seating to the hostess right, next to Deepak.
  • One person is seated between Mayuri and Urvashi. Urvashi is not the hostess.
  • The men were Mayank, Ranveer, Deepak and Joni, while the women were Mayuri, Urvashi, Sangeeta and Meenakshi.

Answer 1.   (Option C)
Joni is the host and seating to Sangeeta's right.

Answer 2.  (Option D)
Sangeeta is seating next to Joni and Deepak. So, She is the only person among the given alternatives, who is not seated next to a person of the same sex.

Answer 3. (Option A) 
If Ranveer would have exchanged seat with a person four places to his left, which is Sangeeta, the following arrangement would exist.
Statement I is true as no man is seating between two women, also no woman is seating between two men.

Answer 4. (Option A) 
Among the given choices, only Ranveer and Meenakshi  are seating opposite to each other and hence they must be married.
