I did B.Tech in Automobile Engineering (2008-2012) From SRM University, Chennai & then MBA (2012-2014) from NIT,Silchar, Assam. During final year of engineering , I got placed in a company but had to decline as per my father's advice who told me to go through Masters & as such , had to opt for MBA . However, after Completing MBA I got placed in three companies and joined one of them. But after serving 8 months I decided to try for Bank jobs like my father & so left the job on 1st December,2015 in order to prepare well for the Bank exams . However, being unsuccessful In my maiden attempt in IBPS SO (Marketing) 2015 for a meagre final cut off (Written + Interviw) by 1.80 marks I was not so much depressed as I thought I did well without that much preparations need for & thought to my mind that if I prepare well I would surely be able to clear bank exams easily.
At the beginning I was not getting any clue on how to prepare and what to prepare . I went on searching for tips and strategies on Internet randomly. However, One day I found BankersAdda site which came out to be a very informative one . Therefore , I also arranged for the said mock test series and used to write the mock tests regularly. It helped me immensely to increase my speed as well as my score and finally I came out successful with four Government Bank jobs in hand.
For future banking aspirants I would like to advice you that don't try to learn all the topics from all sections , choose your favourite topics which are you good at and practice regularly so that you become a master in those topics.....It's utter foolishness to be a jack of all topics in Banking exams.
as in Banking Exams only Speed + Accuracy matters.
Try to become a master in topics like :-
Maths :- Data Interpretation , Simplification , Number Series, don't go for lengthy problem sums part.
Reasoning :- Syllogism , Coding-Decoding , Blood Relations , Input Output , puzzles.
English :- Comprehension, Close Test, Double blanks, Fillers , spotting the errors.
GK and Banking Awareness : - GK Digest Android application
Computer :- Arihant's Computer Awareness Book.
Marketing Aptitude :- Philip Kotler's Marketing Management Book (any edition) plus Kotler's MCQ's
Good Luck to all the Future Banking Aspirants ...........Try Try and Try.........Don't complaint, just keep trying. :)
