About World Congress on Information Technology:
World Congress on Information Technology is an biennial event that is held for every two years by WITSA to provide single platform for all information technology related issues.
- For the first it was organised in the year 1987.
- Last edition of WCIT was held in Brasilia in Brazil in 2016
World Congress on Information Technology 2018:
- World Congress on Information Technology which is organised by World Information Technology and Services Alliance was held in Hyderabad in Telangana state.
- The event was hosted by Telangana government in association with NASSCOM and WITSA.
- The event was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was the chief guest at inaugural session.
- For 2018 WCIT Telangana is the partner state.
- The main aim of the event is to provide single platform to all Information Technology experts and government officials from all over the world to discuss challenges and Solutions in information technology.
- The 2018 WCIT have 50 content sessions delivered by more than 200 global thought leaders from over 80 countries.
