QS World University Ranking 2022: Key Findings

Current Context: The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) which is based in London has released the QS World University Rankings 2022.
QS World University Rankings 2022
  • The ranking compares universities with various parameters and then ranks Universities from across the globe.
  • The 6 parameters which were considered for rankings are: Academic reputation (AR), employer reputation (ER), citations per faculty (CPF), faculty/student ratio, international faculty ratio and international student ratio.
  • Total 8 Indian universities have marked the positions among the best 400 global universities in the QS World University Rankings 2022.
  • The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, IIT-Delhi, and IISc Bangalore are among the top 200 list.
  • IIT Bombay is marked at the rank position of 177th, IIT Delhi is marked at 185th rank and IISc Bangalore is ranked at 186th position.
  • The first rank is achieved by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
  • The second is marked by the University of Oxford.
  • The third rank is marked by Stanford University and the University of Cambridge jointly.
