State Bank of India has published a notification for the recruitment of 8500 Apprentice Vacancies. This page provides you with the important details like age limit, educational qualification, exam pattern and syllabus for the SBI Apprentice Exam 2020.
Age Criteria
- Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 31.10.2020
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than 01.11.1992 and not later than 31/10/2000 (both days inclusive).
Educational Qualification as on 31.10.2020:
Graduation from a recognised University/ Institute.
Duration of Training:
Three years only. The selected apprentices should be willing to qualify in the examinations of IIBF (JAIIB/CAIIB) during 3 years of apprenticeship engagement in the Bank.Exam pattern
I. Online written test:
The structure of the online written examination (online objective type) would be as follows.

- Each test will have separate timing as mentioned above.
- The questions will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi, except for the test of General English.
- There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
II. Test of the local language:
- The specified local languages of the states are as mentioned in Para A of the advertisement.
- The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular state should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) of the specified local language.
- The test for knowledge of specified opted local language will be conducted as a part of the selection process. It will be conducted after qualifying the online written examination.
- Candidates who produce 10th or 12th standard mark sheet/ certificate evidencing having studied the specified opted local language will not be required to undergo the language test.
III. Medical Examination:
Engagement of selected apprentices is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.
Final Selection will be subject to:
a) Verification of eligibility for the post and information furnished in the online application.
b) Qualifying in the test of specified opted local language, where applicable, as detailed above.
c) Declared fit in the Medical examination.
Wait List:
A Wait list (State-category wise) will be maintained for one year from the date of result of the engagement of apprentices or next engagement exercise, whichever is earlier. Candidates will be released only once from this waitlist against non-joining subject to availability of qualified candidates.Application Fees/Intimation Charges: (Non-Refundable):
